I’ve had a pretty hardcore addiction to pickles and all things picked since I was a wee one.

I remember sneaking into the kitchen as a child and drinking pickle juice using a straw from the jar. I’d then put a little water in the jar so my mom wouldn’t notice my scandalous behavior. I don’t think she would have even cared seeing as how I was probably the only one who ate the pickles in the first place. As an adult, there is no sneaking, I’ve been known to chug a whole jar of the green juice without even thinking about just how much sodium I consumed. As I said, I’m a scandalous one.

And if you ask Krista, scandalous is just what our night in Madison this weekend was like. Sorta. I even did an over sized shot of tequila. ICK! I haven’t done a shot of tequila since my dorm days. I mean, I can hardly handle a fruity margarita with it mixed in. But I was a champ and drank like the big kids. So much that I’m not quite sure I remember all of our night out. But I do know I had a blast, danced around a few street poles and wore my sunglasses much of the night while singing the song. Before we headed home for the night we grabbed two over sized slices of pizza and we walked home (drunk) in the rain.

Perfect weekend! And, it made me really, REALLY miss college. I did not party nearly enough. True story.

On Saturday afternoon, Krit and I headed out for some much-needed greasy food to cure our hang overs. Cheeseburger In Paradise was our restaurant of choice. I didn’t even know one of those existed in Wisconsin. And let me just say, deep fried pickles might be my new favorite food. I tried them for my first time there and discovered that I waited 25 years too long to stuff my belly full of those beauties. I’ll likely even attempt to make them at home myself. YUM.

This weekend was just fun. Good and hardy fun. And I fully intend to spend more nights in Madison because it is such a cool town – so much to do, so much to look at, people watching, good food, drinks and one of my best friends. Perfect package.

My Wii Fit age is 34. And that’s good if you consider that yesterday it was 57. Seriously. I am not in shape.

Let me tell you about her – she will get up in your face like nobody’s business if you try to slack. Did you know I gained 2.2 (yes point 2) pounds since yesterday? And I don’t even want to talk to you about my Body Mass Index. Tonight for my workout I ran, and hula hooped, hit soccer balls with my head, learned about my center of gravity and yogaed. Virtually, of course.

This is what I look like while I hula hoop: (The irony in all of this photo taking is that yesterday I made Jeff help me clean, rearrange and discard of stuff from our room so that I could have room to Wii Fit where NO ONE COULD SEE ME).

The Wii Fit seems great in concept. I mean, if this thing works, that’s great. It’s fun. Easy. You don’t feel really like you’re working out but you know that you are because you’re huffing and puffing and even sweating (yes, from a video game). It keeps track of the amount of time you work out, it gives you rewards when you do well and it lets you know when you do something wrong. I was doing a balance game and put my other foot down. AND IT KNEW. When you gain weight, it even holds you accountable, making you select WHY you think you gained weight. My selected answer today: snacking. I’ve told myself a million times that I snack too much, a damn video game tells me and suddenly I’m turning down that second piece of chocolate Jeff just offered me.

(Sigh).

For good measure:

I am a grease head. My hair is greasy, my face is greasy. That place where my nose meets my face, it’s greasy.

I wash my face, I use the proper moisturizer. I only wear a cerain kind of make up because if I switch it up, there’s more drama on my face. I’m 25 years old and I break out more than I did when I was 14.

Anyway, I’m over it. I’ve dealt with my shiny-faced self for a lot of years.

This weekend, I purchased this product:

It looks sort of like liquid foundation. It feels a little smoother. Just rub it over the top of your eyelids and I guarentee you will not have that ugly eyeshadow grease crease by days end. I promise you.

Today I wore a nice new eye shadow – Red Velvet Cake, which came as part of this great set. It’s 8:42 p.m. and it wasn’t creasy when I took it off a few minutes ago. I applied my make up before 7 a.m. That, my friends, is more than 12 hours of make up wearing and it looked almost as great when I took it off as when I put it on.
